Thunder Post!
April 5, 2024
Let's give a big round of applause ๐๐๐ for everyone's efforts in adapting to our new traffic pattern!! Your patience and cooperation were greatly appreciated this week. While the transition has been successful, we continue to look for ways to enhance the safety and efficiency of our drop-off and pick-up processes. We believe the following steps will be helpful.
1. Please ensure your children only exit the vehicle once you've reached the sidewalk.
2. If you need to exit the vehicle to assist your child, kindly park your car and accompany them to the sidewalk or building.
3. Always use the designated crosswalks when walking across the parking lot.
For those who have noticed the construction in the north parking lot, it's clear why the playground is currently off-limits. The preschoolers are using the quadrangle by the school for recess, so they will not have to cross the parking lot. The K-5th graders will be using the area by the baseball field. We have ordered some playground activities for the preschoolers and older children. We're excited to share that the new preschool playground on the west side, directly accessible from the school, is expected to be ready in just a couple of weeks.
Lastly, thank you to the many dads, grandfathers, and other men in our studentsโ lives who attended CCS Donuts with Dads and Dudes. The students loved it and had a great time. It was great to watch the fun and laughter. And we canโt forget to thank the PTO, who prepared for and hosted this event. As usual, you did a great job!

DONUTS WITH DADS
The CCS gym was a flurry of activity with dads, grandpas, uncles, and other special friends ... drinking coffee, then eating donuts and playing a little basketball with their students ... from preschool to middle school!
Then all of the dads and specials guests of students in K through 5th grades were invited to attend their chapel this morning. There were some special moments, and possibly even a tear or two!
A big Thank You to our PTO for putting together this wonderful event and to Mrs. Annas for the special chapel!
