FWISD Softball
Paschal HS
Throughout the school year your Paschal Lady Panthers worked very hard not only on the field, but in the classroom, with one goal in mind... A successful season. Their hard work and determination landed the Lady Panthers 3rd place in district competitions and secured them a spot in the 6A State Playoffs. The Varsity Lady Panther Softball team went head-to-head with Timber Creek High School in a 3 game series to declare the winner of the Bi-District Champion title.
The Lady Panthers fell short early in Game 1 and were not able to recover. Skyler Porter (12) and Samantha Garcia (10) led the Lady Panthers at the plate with multiple hits. Your Lady Panthers tallied one home run for the day from Madison Howard (10) during the second inning.
The Lady Panthers saw the ball well in Game 2 but in the end were unable to seal the victory against Timber Creek. Despite the loss, the Lady Panthers racked up 13 hits in the game. Maliya Chavez (11), Janelle Chavez (12), Cedes Martinez (9), and Samantha Garcia (10) all had multiple hits at the plate for the Panthers. The Lady Panthers socked three home runs on the day. Breanna Rodriguez (10) had a four bagger in the first inning. Samantha Garcia (10) had a long ball in the first inning. Janelle Chavez (12) went for the long ball in the sixth inning.
Although the Lady Panthers didn't get the outcome that was desired, they grew and acheived so much as players and as a team. Our seniors Janelle Chavez, Skyler Porter, Calissa Alaniz, and Hollie Gomez all had a great Softball career here at Paschal and will be greatly missed. We are so very proud of our student-athletes who worked so hard to represent R.L. Paschal High School and Fort Worth ISD. Thank you so much for all of the support throughout the season! #TRUST
