High School Parent Conferences
High School Conferences will be held on March 20th and March 21st. Appointments are available between 12:30 PM to 2:45 PM. Wednesday, March 20th will not be a late start since it is an early release. In addition, there are no evening conference sessions.
High School Conference time slots are 15 minutes with any teacher and will be used for intervention focused on students with grades lower than 70%. Conferences will focus on support needed to improve the student’s grade in the course, concerns of the family or student, etc. We as a building agree to proactively communicate with families of our 70% or lower students and students who may need academic and/or behavioral support to finish the year.
How to Request a Conference
All appointments will be entered into Skyward Conference Scheduler. (Teachers also have access to create appointments.) Scheduling is open and will remain open until Thursday, March 21 at noon.

Our annual spring flower basket sale has begun! All forms and payments must be turned in 03/22/24. The senior that sells the most items wins a free ticket into the party! College and Career Center
Spring College and Career Fair
Battle Ground High School is hosting the Spring College and Career Fair, March 21, 5 pm - 7 pm. Over 50, two and four year colleges, trade school, apprenticeship programs and branches of the military will be available to meet with you and answer your post high school opportunities. In addition, seniors, are you needing assistance with your financial aid (FAFSA/WASFA) application? There will be a Financial Aid workshop from 3 pm - 6 pm in the College and Career Center. Representatives will be available to assist with your application. There will be Spanish, Russian/Ukrainian interpreters available. Click this link to see the flyer for more information.

Interested in doing Running Start Next Year?
Eligible 11th and 12th grade students have the opportunity to participate in the Running Start program, which allows them to take college classes and earn both high school and college credit at a low cost. You can also visit www.clark.edu/runningstart to get more information about Clark College's virtual information nights.

Big Future Scholarships from the College Board
Current high school juniors and seniors can be entered into monthly drawings for $500 or $40,000 scholarships until February of their senior year. No essay, minimum GPA or test score is required, and there are also no citizenship requirements. To be entered into the monthly drawings, complete steps on the BigFuture website such as starting a list of possible careers and applying for financial aid.

2024-25 school calendar
The 2024-25 academic calendar is now available for next school year. Here are some of the key dates:
First day of school: Tuesday, Aug. 27
Kindergarten Smart Start begins: Tuesday, Sept. 3
Thanksgiving break: Nov. 27-29
Winter break: Dec. 23, 2024, through Jan. 3, 2025
Spring break: Monday, March 31, through Friday, April 4
Last day of school: Tuesday, June 10 (assuming no added days for weather-related closures)
NOTE: Additional in-service dates may be added following approval from the state superintendent’s office. Russian and Spanish-language versions will be released soon.
