5th Grade Klee Cityscapes
paintings with line, shape and color
How it was made
Students learned about the life and art of Paul Klee, paying close attention to how he used line and color to create balanced compositions. Students then tried their hand at creating a cityscape inspired by his style. They worked with watercolor to create a color scheme and painting in a controlled way to create their desired result, using lots of water to create lighter colors and very little water to get vibrant darker colors.
