A Message from the Pastor
Greetings and Holy Lent!
Hoping you are finding Lent a season of holiness. Hoping your family is taking time to pray together and having conversations about living out your faith!!!! Lent at school is going well. The students are participating well at Mass, the prayer services are truly prayerful, and the conversations of Lent are awesome.
The best was one of our students who saw their grandmothers Easter decorations out already reminded grandma that Lent is 40 days. She was a bit ahead of the season. You know the expression truth from the kids - well enjoy our children taking their faith and religion seriously and they will bring that greatness home.
Support your child’s education in all areas - we will be great!!!!
God Bless,
Fr. Mark

Be the I in Kind Assembly
On Wednesday, students gathered together to congratulate the February "Be the I in Kind" award recipients. Next, the March bible verse and "I am" statement were introduced: "I write unto you, little children, because your sins are forgiven for His name's sake." John 2:12 I am Forgiven!
Students were reminded that Jesus paid the ultimate price for all of us. His hands were pierced with nails. Nails were driven into his feet. A crown of sharp thorns was forced onto his head. He hung on the cross for hours and then died. He did this for US…so OUR sins could be forgiven.
Students were then divided into 2 groups. The 3K-3 grade students watched a video about forgiveness, created an "I am forgiven" wheel, and added a bandaid with their name on it to a big cross as a symbol for healing.
The 4-8th grade discussed what forgiveness means and how they should forgive others. They also searched for bible verses about forgiveness and wrote about them in a small booklet that they will carry with them in their religion journals.
