Buckeye Intermediate Buzz
March 2021
Principal Buzz with Mrs. Kelli Davisson
Hello Buckeye Families! It is hard to believe that the end of the 3rd quarter is this Friday, March 5th and we are about to begin the final quarter of this school year. I just have to say that I have been so very impressed with how our students and staff have done this year. Change can be difficult, but everyone has shown resilience and been able to adjust and adapt to situations that were out of our control. Kudos to all families as well for all of your support this school year. We are all a TEAM and in this TOGETHER!
Our spring fundraiser with Snap!Raise ends on March 9th. If you would still like to donate there is still TIME. You can donate directly to the school or through Snap!Raise. I want to personally THANK everyone that has donated as it is greatly appreciated!
Please be sure to check out all of the important information in this month's newsletter including a link to our YouTube Channel! Search Kelli Davisson on YouTube to find our morning announcements and announcers!
If you have any questions or concerns please contact me via email or phone kdavisson@buckeyeschools.org 330-722-8237 ext. 4342.
School Counselor Buzz with Ms. Zablotny
Our School Counseling Program at Buckeye Intermediate School offers small group counseling for students. I will be offering small groups based on a needs assessment classroom teachers completed and parents that reach out to me regarding their child’s needs.
Small groups provide not only the opportunity for additional learning experiences, but also a time of sharing and a time of growing together with fellow students. Small groups give students a chance to belong, express themselves, problem solve, and benefit from the support of group members.
Our groups goals are to foster friendships, encourage positive peer relations, and develop positive leadership skills. Groups meet once a week and provides students with an opportunity to meet with fellow classmates on a more personal level. Students will participate in a variety of activities and projects while focusing on a daily themed lesson.I work with teachers to schedule groups at times that minimize the loss of instructional time.
If you feel your child would benefit from a social skills group, please contact me by email or phone.
