Summer Learning Challenge - Reach 20!
Chatham County Schools
“Reach 20” Summer Learning Challenge
Did you know that students who read 20 minutes daily over the summer have up to 85% more retention of learning than students who do not read each day? All K-8 CCS students were challenged in June to read any kind of books or complete the Classworks learning modules for at least 20 minutes a day this summer. Copies of the reading log went home with report cards.
Students who complete the learning log linked here will receive a prize when they return to school. Students who reach the full 20 hours of time in the challenge will receive a grand prize. Please return the form to your child's teacher or the front office the first week of school. Once forms have been collected prizes will be distributed. All forms need to be turned in by August 31st.
In case you'd like access to thousands of online books geared toward K-8 CCS students to incorporate into your summer learning, look no further than your child's CCS subscription to MyOn. Follow this link for directions on how to access MyOn.
