Monday Minutes
November 4, 2019
This is a busy time of year for teachers and students. Sometimes when we are feeling busy, we also feel stress. I want to encourage you to take some time for yourself. Leave at a reasonable time, relax on the weekend, and get a decent night's sleep. By taking care of yourself, you are rested and ready to take care of your students. If your students are fidgety or seem to have forgotten the rules and procedures in your classroom, take the time to do a reset. Taking a few minutes NOW to re-teach expectations will save you a lot of time down the road.
Also, check out the short video at the bottom of this newsletter. What do you want to try (or remove) for thirty days? I set a bedtime alarm and am sticking to it. No more late night phone calls or texts with my kids during the work week! We will just have to find another time to talk so that I can be rested.

Thank you for your words of wisdom while I was going through a difficult time last week. Your words of advice and kindness made the problem not as sharp as it had been feeling over the week. Thank you for being the sunshine in the storm.

Thank you both so much for running the clinic and taking such great care of our students in my absence. I am so grateful for you both!

Take A Moment
Wrap your arms around yourself and give your body a squeeze! Stay in this position for 30 seconds and remember to breathe!
Tip: invite your students to try it too!
