When was the Tudor period?
The Tudor period is the period that followed the Black Death in England. It lasted for over a hundred years, ending in the early 1600s.
Who were the main players?
The most famous ruler during this period was Henry VIII. Henry VIII is responsible for the Church of England breaking away from the Pope and Rome. This came about because the King wanted to get a divorce and the Catholic Church would not allow it. Henry VIII went on to have 6 wives; he divorced 2, had 2 beheaded, one died of natural causes and one survived.
