Important News and Information
Open Enrollment is Open
This year Open Enrollment runs February 14 - March 14, 2024. You can access the application portal at www.applyopa.com.
Open Enrollment Lottery for Siblings of Existing Students and New Students:
Open Enrollment for the 2024-2025 school year is from February 14 through March 14, 2024. If you have a child who is a sibling of a currently enrolled OPA student, and you want the sibling to attend OPA next school year, you must fill out an application for them during Open Enrollment. Please visit the application website at www.applyopa.com, where you will submit their application and mark the applicant as a sibling of a currently enrolled OPA student at the appropriate campus. Failure to submit an application for an incoming sibling will exclude them from the lottery, and they will have to join the waiting list after those who participate in the lottery. The lottery will take place on April 25, 2024.
If your student is currently enrolled in the virtual program and you are interested in enrolling that student in the seat-based, on-campus program instead, you will need to submit an application at www.applyopa.com during Open Enrollment to apply to change programs. The same process is necessary if you have a student currently enrolled in the seat-based, on-campus program who you want to switch to the virtual program. You will need to fill out an application to enter the lottery to apply for the other program.
Open Enrollment Lottery for Incoming Middle School Students
If you have an OPA student currently enrolled in Grade 5 and you would like them to attend our OPA Middle School for the 2024-2025 school year, you must complete an application at www.applyopa.com during Open Enrollment and go through the lottery process. Open Enrollment for the 2024-2025 school year is from February 14 through March 14, 2024. Spots are available for all current OPA 5th grade students who apply to OPA-Middle School during Open Enrollment. Please reach out to the front office if you have any questions.
Current SV Students:
If your child already attends OPA-SV in grades TK-4th, you do not need to reapply for the 2024-2025 school year. 😃

Homework Heroes- Tips to Empower Learning at Home
Communicate with Teachers: Stay in touch with your child's teachers to understand their homework assignments and any areas where your child may be struggling. Working together as a team can help ensure your child gets the support they need to succeed.
Attendance Counts!
As our second set of required Attendance Letters have been mailed out, this is a friendly reminder of the importance of your child being in school every day. We kindly ask that you do not plan any extended vacations during days of instruction and utilize the school calendar posted on our website to help assist in future travel plans. If your child is sick, please make sure you submit their absence through our website and inquire about our Short Term Independent Study (STIS) option. Our professors will go above and beyond to make sure that your child does not fall behind during any unexpected period of absence by providing the work for them to complete.
