Gender Equality In Sport
Caster Semenya
IAAF disgrace
Caster Semenya of South Africa was accused of being male and underwent a series of tests to prove that she was infact female, simply because she ran the 800m and won with a time of 1:55:45 beating the rest by more than 2 seconds in 2009. She was made to take both drug and gender tests by the IAAF which disgusted the majority of the sporting world and public, although she passed the gender test has never been revealed. Caster has three times more testosterone than the average woman and a muscular build that would rival a male 800m sprinter. At 5"10 and 76kg she could rival many male athletes in the 800m sprint, it was later revealed that Caster has both male and female sexual organs enabling her to compete in either side of the sport.
