Odyssey Institute High School Virtual Learning Plan
We hope all of your families are happy and healthy. We know this is a challenging time for families and scholars. Please know that we are thinking of you and doing our best to create a plan to keep scholars engaged and moving forward in their education. Below is our plan to move forward starting on Monday, March 23rd. Please know that this plan is based on current information and may change on any specific direction from the Governor’s office or the Arizona Department of Education.
Starting on Monday, scholars will be required to attend virtual sessions with their teachers via the Zoom website/app. Here are directions on how to access Zoom: https://youtu.be/yIrgjIRn8s4
Step 1: Teachers will be sending scholars a link through their classes in Managebac. There will be a message sent via Managebac that will also go to scholar’s email. There are a limited number of participants that can attend each session. Thus, each class period will be assigned a specific session. Please attend the assigned sessions. If you are unable to attend your assigned session, you must contact your teacher and he/she will send you a link of the recording.
Step 2: Complete the Exit ticket for this session and submit to your teacher. This will be a way to take attendance and check your understanding. This will be recorded in Synergy as a grade.
Step 3: Scholars should attend an office hours session if they have questions. There will be an office hours session on the day following the virtual session. All teachers will be available at designated times on Friday for additional office hours.
Step 4: Scholar should submit their required assessment on the due dates. Current late work policy will still apply.

Moving Forward
We know this is an incredibly trying time for all families. Our goal is to continue to educate scholars and give them a sense of community. This is why the virtual sessions are so important. Please know that flexibility and patience are incredibly important. We are practicing those skills and asking all of our community members to do the same. Our admin team will be reaching out on a weekly basis to check-in and ask for feedback.
Our first meeting times are tomorrow, Friday, March 20th. We have several question and answer sessions in our virtual meeting rooms:

We have a unique opportunity to learn in a new way, let’s embrace that experience and keep moving forward.
