Learning and Leading as a Lifelong Learner!
Digital Learning Day 2015
I planned for Digital Learning Day at Merrywood. I created lesson plans in Google Docs, and shared information with the faculty during staff meetings. On the day of the event, I helped many classrooms make their Chatterpix and answered questions along the way.

SC EdTech Conference
I attended the SC EdTEch Conference in October. The conference was a great learning experience for me, and I loved connecting with educators from across our state. I took a lot of information back into my classroom, and this conference helped me grow as a teacher.

Digital Citizenship Certified Educator
My class has worked this year to become good digital citizens by thinking critically, behaving safely, and participating responsibly in our digital world. To do so, we have completed lessons on digital citizenship using the Common Sense Media curriculum. I have shared information with parents, and posted information on my class website. I completed the application process and was certified as a Common Sense Digital Citizenship Educator.

Helping Other Teachers at Merrywood
I have worked with other teachers at Merrywood to strengthen their technology skills. In addition to our iPad buddies class, I have also worked with a class to learn to Skype. I also answer questions almost daily about technology, and help other teachers as much as I can.
