Classroom Locations: Once all hiring is complete, and grade level staffing is closer to being final, I will look at classroom locations.
Schedule: Specials teachers will support the creation of the 19-20 schedule. Feedback gathered by grade level will be used to support decisions on specials times, recess, and lunch. If you have any other feedback to provide, please submit to me by April 26th!
Classroom Placement: You will receive transition cards in the next week or so to be filled out for each student in your class. More information will come to support this effort!

2020 SUMMER SCHOOL SALARY SCHEDULES - Chad Sutton
SOCIAL STUDIES PD - Chad Sutton
Jeans for Genes - Susan Highland
We need your help getting the word out to schools regarding a fundraiser for Cystic Fibrosis. A Northview student has been named Ambassador for the Kansas City Great Strides walk on May 11th.
We have scheduled a ‘Jeans for Genes’ day, where anyone who donates $ 5.00 to the family’s team or CF, can pick up a sticker in their facilities main office, and wear it with their jeans on May 3rd. We would like to roll out the fundraiser on April 22 with social media posts.
We are sending the stickers, a flyer, an electronic version of the flyer to each school in a packet. We are hoping you could give schools a heads up that they will be receiving a packet the week of the 15th, and what the event is about.
Thank you for your help, let us know if you have any questions.
MESSAGE FROM TECHNOLOGY
Message from Information Technology: Dr. Sipes and Keith Howe
Shared and Users drives will become read only beginning June 3, 2019. The Building Technology Specialists have been asked to work with principals to build a plan, that at a minimum, ensures all students know how to save files to Box. It is recommended that all staff begin using Box to save their files as well, especially in light of the fact that shared and user drives will become read only. There are additional functions and features that make Box much more than simply a place to save files. Professional Development will be offered for certified staff during Summer Academy, and we are still working toward finding good opportunities for classified staff. The following videos can help get you started.

Message from Instructional Technology
We would like some feedback around #nkcchat. Principals and TLCs we are asking that you take the survey and determine some staff members in your building to take the survey as well. We are not asking that all employees of North Kansas City Schools take this survey. Please work with your BTS to determine potential survey participants. You might consider sharing it with staff members:
- who often participate in #nkcchat
- have a fairly active twitter handle, but don’t often participate in #nkcchat
- enjoy learning from other people and might like to expand their network
- are leaders within your building and might like to broaden their sphere of influence
- have expressed an interest in #nkcchat, but can’t make Monday night at 8:00 work
Once you determine who you will ask to complete the survey you can copy and paste the below message and email it to them.
Copy/Paste the below email:
The Instructional Technology Team for North Kansas City Schools would love your feedback around #nkcchat. Please take a short amount of time to complete the anonymous survey http://tinyurl.com/nkcchat.
