People's Choice and YAM Honors for MES Artists
MES Artists Earn People's Choice and Youth Art Month Honors!
March is here and we are celebrating Youth Art Month (YAM) by featuring our amazing student artists at MES! We're featuring some of our People's Choice Award students, as well as the 4 students who have artworks at the Delaplaine Art Center for the FCPS Youth Art Month show.
Earning our YAM honors are four vastly different styles of artworks by our MES artists. Evangeline W. in grade 5 has her ceramic stacked coil vessel at the show. 5th grader Natalie M has her "Eyes" painting featured, and 4th grader Eleanor M. shared her Rangoli-inspired prints. Grade 3 artist Jhonny R. is showing his "Rhythm and Motion" painting, as well. We are so proud of the achievements of our young artists, and hope they continue to express their talents in the years to come!
Next up for our MES Artists is the MHS Empty Bowls Banquet art show which will feature artworks from grades 3-5 and will include more paintings as well as ceramics - stay tuned for photos in the next couple of weeks!
