The End of Spring Break
On April 7, 2015 the kids of the Howard-Suamico School District came back from a well deserved spring break. This time off started on March 28, so this gave the kids a nice 10 days off of school. Some kids spent spring break in another state like Florida or Arizona. But some people stayed at home and enjoyed some down time. The kids also got to celebrate Easter with their families. The first day back also marks the first day of the fourth and final quarter of the school year. This also means that the kids only have two more months of school left until summer break. But unfortunately spring break can't last forever, so the kids came back today ready to learn!
Save Around
Get your wallets out and help support the Bayview sports teams! The soccer and football teams did this at the beginning of the year, but now the track and tennis teams are participating. It started on April 8 and ends in a few weeks. Save Around has delicious pizzas and cookies for sale and also some cook books. They also sell helpful coupon books to help you save when you're looking for a good deal. The money goes towards the sports department so that kids have the opportunity and supplies to learn new sports and get active. Bayview does this every year at everyone says that the foods are amazing!
Donate Life
On April 11th Bay View Middle School achieved something truly amazing! They got the community to walk 2 miles to raise money and awareness for lifesaving organ transplants.
They hosted a party before the walk which included Zumba, a silent auction, dancing, and much more. Many participants said that the atmosphere was energetic and care free.
Bay View's own Gail Burant started this walk in honor of her son Ethan who needed a liver transplant at a very young age. They had a goal of raising $10,000 and raised well over that amount. This proves what a school can do if they put their mind to it.
