The Sahara Desert

This desert is home to one of the worlds harshest climates. scorching heat, blistering wind, and lack of water sucks if you're marooned on the middle of the desert, unless you come by the occasional oasis. However, if you're not stranded, you can have tons of fun with a tour guide getting a little dune surfing in.
Mount Kilimanjaro
Mount Kilimanjaro is Africa's highest mountain, checking in at 19,340 feet at the peak of Kibo. Mount Kilimanjaro is an extinct volcano in Northeast Tanzania. The mountain rises in two peaks, Kibo and Mawenzi. Mount Kilimanjaro is one of the few places in Africa that has snow. If you love a good challenge, go and climb Mount Kilimanjaro.
Madagascar
Madagascar. Everyone knows it from the blockbuster movies based off of it. But I bet you didn't know that it's the 4th largest island in the world. Or that it's economy is largely agricultural. But you might have known that the island off of the coast of East Africa has tons of national parks to visit. And that it's home to those cute little rat monkeys known as lemurs.
The Nile River
The Nile snakes through 8 countries in Africa. At 4,160 miles long, it is the world's longest river. This river is a huge source of agriculture in Egypt. It also contributes to much of Africa's hydro-electric power. There's also tons to do on the Nile. From white river rafting to bungie jumping, you can't possibly be bored.
