TRAVELING TIDE POOLS
PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
Last Friday the students attended a hands on Traveling Tide Pool with their classroom! During the Tide Pool visit the students encountered a large 7ft long 90-gallon Salt Water Tank with 20 to 25 sea creatures. Some of the sea animals they were able to hold and touch were a Sting Ray, Shark, Green Brittle Sea Stars, Chocolate Chip Sea Stars, Hermit Crabs, Sea Snails, Pencil Urchins & Horseshoe Crab. They even were able to hear the ocean in some of the sea shells! A BIG THANK YOU to our PTA for sponsoring this educational experience for our students!
MORNING ARRIVAL
Just a friendly reminder for the safety of our students... Students arriving between 8:00 - 8:15am are to report to the cafeteria NOT the blacktop as there is no staff supervision on the blacktop before this time. If you want to stay with your child during this time, please join them in the cafeteria OR sit with them at the tables with umbrellas.
4th GRADE STUDY TRIP
WRITTEN BY: Aria Rousse and Jullianna Alanis
On Tuesday, November 28 the 4th grade classes took a study trip to Fresno Unified's Nutrition Center. First we went to the Nutrition Center. We got to try new foods that they didn't put out yet to the schools. Then we went to the wood shop and they showed us how to cut out the wood. Next, we went where they cut and bend metal. Finally, we went to the electric center. They showed us how the light bulbs work and how much electricity they run on.
JINGLE BELL RUN
This Thursday, December 7 will be PTA's 1st Annual Jingle Bell Run! Even though this is one of PTA's biggest annual fundraisers, all our students will be participating by running / walking with their grade level. All students will walk/run for 7 minutes and will receive a treat when they are finished. Parents, guardians and grandparents are welcome and encouraged to come cheer our Hawks! Below is a link to the grade level running times.
CROSS COUNTRY
CONGRATULATIONS to our 3rd grad Cross Country Team!
