Blown Away ☀ ☁ ☂ ☃
During P.E., we pushed the ball on the floor to our friends and walked/jumped through hula hoops and over a rope. We also played "Busy Bee," in which we buzzed like bees around the classroom and on Ms. Dawn's signal, found a friend to hold hands with and match our body parts (e.g., elbow to elbow, toes to toes, back to back). With our friends from Room 4, we used straws to blow objects of different weight around the table, checked out some different playgrounds on campus, put stickers on a birthday banner, and learned how to play Musical Chairs. We also introduced the Calm Corner into our schedule, which is an area where the kids choose books to read, stuffed animals to play with, and various calming sensory items to play with quietly.
We had a new friend start in our class last week. Welcome, Kairav! Thank you for the birthday goodies :)
October/Halloween Party
- We will be following the CDC theme of Making Friends this month, while also talking a lot about pumpkins and Halloween!
- MARK YOUR CALENDAR - The CDC will be having our annual Halloween Parade on Tuesday, October 31 from 9:15-10am. Parents are welcome to join as we "Trick or Treat" around the entire facility. After the parade, we will be having a class party with some of our neighboring classrooms. More details to come.
