Message from Mrs. Kilday
Hello Rodman families!
It's almost here...the first day of preschool is just a few days away! We cannot wait to meet our new friends and see some old ones! Our staff has been very busy preparing. We have spent the week setting up classrooms, cleaning, reviewing health and safety practices, and engaging in professional development. It has been a busy week for sure!
You should have received an email from your child's teacher about our open house this Tuesday. If you did not get any information on open house, please email me.
Have a wonderful evening everyone.
Donna

We look forward to seeing you!
New Staff Introductions
Hi Everyone!
My name is Aoife O'Mahony and I'm the new Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) here at the Rodman Early Childhood Program. For the past two years I have been working in Canton and I am more than thrilled to be joining the team in this new role. I grew up in the Canton School District which makes me excited to continue this journey. I can't wait to get started and look forward to being a part of your child's speech and language growth this year!
We are hiring!
A Note from Nurse Bailey
Hello Rodman families!
I’m so excited to see our returning students and to meet our new friends very soon. Everyone knows me as Nurse Bailey and I am here to support you and your child in any way I can so that they are healthy and ready to learn in preschool.
Most of our classrooms are “Allergen Aware” which means that at least one student or staff member has a severe food allergy. Each class will receive an individualized letter noting the allergen(s) and we ask you not to send in foods that contain the allergen.
WHEN SHOULD YOUR CHILD STAY HOME FROM SCHOOL?
Has evidence of a newly developed cold (runny, stuffy nose, coughing, sneezing). The greatest period of contagion is the first 2-3 days after onset of symptoms
Has Covid-19 or Covid-19 symptoms
Has the flu or flu symptoms
Has an elevated temperature, 100° or above within the past 24 hours. Please remember that prior to returning to school, your student’s temperature should remain within a normal range (97.0-99.9) for 24 hours - without the use of fever-reducing medication.
Has a suspicious rash
Has pain or discharge from eye(s) or ear(s)
Has had an upset stomach, vomiting or diarrhea within the past 24 hours
Has a contagious disease (i.e. strep throat, tonsillitis, bronchitis, conjunctivitis, etc.) until they has been seen and treated by a doctor with at least 24 - 48 hours of treatment, is fever free for 24 hours, and feels well enough to be able to participate in school activities
Has lice that has not been treated
When in doubt, please reach out to me and we can navigate this together. Also, our new COVID-19 protocols should be reviewed/approved at the 9/8 school committee meeting.
Please reach out to me with any questions or concerns you may have any time.
Thank you and best regards,
Nurse Bailey
