TCAP REPORTS
MEET OUR NEW SRO
We are happy to have Officer Adam Cook as our new CGIS School Resource Officer!
A little about Officer Cook... He has been with the Maryville Police Department for 6 years. He spent 5 years on the Traffic Unit as a motorcycle policeman. Officer Cook loves his family, he is married and has two daughters! He has a chocolate lab named Cooper. Officer Cook loves to hunt, fish, cook, play drums, and play guitar. He also enjoys spending time on his farm with his 3 horses. Officer Cook is a member of Victory Baptist Church. He is also an Eagle Scout! Most importantly, Officer Cook is excited about being the SRO at Coulter Grove and looks forward to helping our students, parents, and staff this year! Say hello when you see him and help us make him feel welcome!
TARDIES
We have started counting students tardy to school. Students are considered tardy to school if they are not IN THEIR CLASSROOMS ready to go when the 7:40AM bell rings. If your student is tardy, they must come into the office before going to class. So, plan ahead and get them here early enough to get to class by 7:40am.
PLEASE READ OUR CGIS STUDENT HANDBOOK
SCHOOL DAY REMINDERS
- Transportation Changes During the School Day: Please plan ahead and make sure your student knows their afternoon transportation each day. If you need to change your student's transportation during the school day, please directly email your student's homeroom and sixth period teachers to have them notify your student of the change. (You can find your student's schedule and teachers by logging into your parent powerschool account.) It is important that we limit mid-day changes in order to preserve instructional time so teachers can focus on teaching. We can't insure this information will get to your student by the end of the day. In an extenuating circumstance, please call our main office.
- Entering the Building During the Day: EVERYONE entering the building at any time MUST sign in using our LOBBY GUARD System: NO EXCEPTIONS. Bring your driver's license and scan it at the computer station inside the first set of doors. Follow the prompts on the screen for the reason you are signing in. Thank you for helping us ensure the safety of our students and staff!
- Checking a Student Out During the School Day: The latest a parent or guardian can check out a student is 2:25pm. Please be in the school office prior to 2:25 so we can accommodate your check out request before the end of the school day.
FAMILY LIFE EDUCATION
Attention 5th, 6th, and 7th Grade Parents:
IMPORTANT: If you do consent with permission for your student to attend family life classes, you do NOT need to reply to that email to give permission. If you want your student to opt out of family life classes, then please reply to that email stating that you do not want your student to attend. Please copy your student's science teacher on that email as well.
4th/5th Grade Tennis
Any student interested in playing tennis should attend a MANDATORY evaluation on Friday, August 19, 2022 from 4:00-6:00pm at the Sandy Springs Tennis Courts. More information about fees and season schedule will be given out at evaluations.

iREACH TECHNOLOGY FEES, SCHOOL FEES, and SCHOOL LUNCH ACCOUNTS
UPDATE: If iReach technology fees to use laptops are not paid by Monday, August 22, 2022, students will become a day user only. They will have to return their laptops to their teacher at the end of the day and will not be able to bring laptops home.
As a reminder, Parents should have received a hard copy of our classroom fee letter last week. The 2022-2023 classroom fees are $55 per student. These are not the same as the technology fees to use laptops.
You may also pay both the iReach technology classroom fees on Show Up nights.
School bucks will still be used for School lunch. Use this link to add funds to your student's lunch account.

A big change that impacts almost everyone! School breakfasts & lunches are no longer free to all this year! So, please act now, if needed!
Do you think your family is eligible for free or reduced price meals? If so, you should complete an online application at the following address:
***You do not need to submit an application if you receive notification that you are directly certified (Food stamps, SNAP or FamilyFirst) for free meals this year.
