Testing Update (CTE make-ups & MAP Testing)
We will begin our Winter MAP assessment on this Wednesday. Math will be administered this week and ELA will be administered next week. Please reference the testing calendar attached to the newsletter if you any questions about the dates for our MAP tests, CIAs or upcoming Learn Checks.

Cell Phone Policy Reminder
If you see a phone that is out or being used by a scholar, politely ask them to put it away. If they refuse, don't engage in an argument with the scholar or attempt to take the phone. Call for a BMT or administrator and allow them to address the issue outside of the learning environment.

Community Meeting Guided Questions for this week.
Monday: No community Meeting for 7th & 8th grade due to "resetting" Assemblies. 6th grade should use this time to discuss resetting of expectations for 2nd semester.
Tuesday: Is protesting for what you believe in act of responsibility? Why or why not?
Wednesday: How does personal responsibility contribute to the overall success of the group or team?
Thursday: Think about ways you could be more responsible. Discuss 1 responsibility related goal and 1 action step that would make it easier to attain the goal.
Friday: Who is responsible for your success at school. If you are currently not successful at school, who is responsible?
Winter Sports Weekly Update!!
Our girls and boys basketball teams and cheerleaders are back in action this week. There is no game on Tuesday however, on Thursday our scholar-athletes will host MLK Jr. Middle. The girls game begins at 5:00pm and our boys game will begin immediately afterwards. Please come out and support our scholar-athletes as they demonstrate character, sportsmanship and athletic excellence on the court this week.
