READING
Many students are leaving their books at home and then have nothing to read at school (or vice versa). Please remind your child to place their books back in their backpacks each night so that they have books to read in class. Ultimately, this is their responsibility, but if you could help them this first nine weeks, that would be really helpful.
Finally, please encourage your child to read for 20 minutes each night. If you are able to read with them a few nights out of the week, that's even better. I know schedules can get really hectic, but I promise you that this will benefit your child, both academically and emotionally.
