The Journal for Student Research (JSR) is a Multidisciplinary and Faculty reviewed journal devoted to the rapid dissemination of current student research. The journal seeks papers that are novel, integrative, and written in a way that is accessible to a wide audience which includes an array of disciplines.
A third student, Lyle Rideout is one of 375 students out of 24,049 who received a perfect score on her AP Research Exam. Not only did she receive a 5 on her exam but earned every possible point. Lyle has also submitted a paper, but has not received a status update yet.
We are extremely proud of their efforts in both AP Seminar and AP Research!

library media center news
CHS is not charging late fees for library books this year.
- We are still emailing monthly notices as a reminder to return overdue books to the library.
- If you are still reading the book, you can renew your time in the library.
- We will also collect overdue books belonging to BMSN, BMSS, and Voss.
We're thrilled to have collected 38 books this fall to add to our Champion Library!. We appreciate all the faculty and parents who contributed! Although our book drive has officially ended, we will gladly welcome future donations of new or gently used books for our print collection.
Any questions or concerns can be directed to Librarian Kim Taylor by email or 830-357-2614.
It's FAFSA TIME!
FAFSA IS NOW OPEN!
Each year, the federal government provides more than $150 billion in financial aid (grants, work-study, and loans) for college or career school. To apply for this aid, you must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
- Both parents and students need a FSA ID. This ID will remain the same through every year of college.
- Students must use an email address (not BISD) that they will have access to in the future.
