From the Desk of Mr. Welch, Criminal Justice sophomores at 911 Dispatch Certified
This year 13 sophomores from the Criminal Justice program at Blue Hills Regional Technical School have received their certification From the National Academies of Emergency Dispatch.
These students finished the 40 Hour course and took a certification exam to become certified. These students are qualified to be Emergency Telecommunications (911 Dispatch) and gives them a basic understanding of how our Emergency 911 dispatch system works.
Students are able to practice what they learned on computerized simulators in the classroom which they can role play “real situations” and correctly dispatch the right units to the right call scenario.
