Fluency Poem of the Week
Everything’s wrong,
Days are too long,
Sunshine’s too hot,
Wind is too strong.
Clouds are too fluffy,
Grass is too green,
Ground is too dusty,
Sheets are too clean.
Moon is too high,
Sand is too dry.
Rocks are too heavy,
Kids are too noisy,
Shoes are too tight.
Folks are too happy,
Singin’ their songs.
Why can’t they see it?
Everything’s wrong!

Word problmes involving measurements will also be a part of our study.
Biography Research
We will be wrapping up our biograohy research this week. We have learned about lots of creative and interesting people the last few weeks (Zora Hurston, Jacques Cousteau, Celia Cruz, Jesse Owens, Abrahham Lincoln, and George Washington). This week students will get to research a person that interests them. They will make a google slide highlighting important events from that persons life, and give a mini presentation.
Homework Books
Also parents if you are struggling to find books for your student to read here is an online resource. You may need to hunt around for what works for your child, but there are lots of options. https://portal.flyleafpublishing.com/learners-resources/
