A message from Principal Schnabel
Welcome back Evergreen families! We are excited to partner with you to support your child's academic and social emotional growth this year! It was wonderful to see all those that attended Open House on Tuesday night. Please watch for these newsletters and updates to get the most current information.
Arrival and Dismissal
Please take the time to go through the family handbook you received at open house to know how drop off and pick up runs. It is important that everyone is following the same process to ensure safety as well as efficiency! Thank you in advance as our first couple of weeks may take more time while everyone is learning.
A few quick reminders:
- Students can be dropped off as early as 9:15. We do not have staff supervising prior to that time.
- School begins at 9:30
- Buses and taxis are dropped off and picked up in the front loop by doors 1 and 2. No passenger cars are allowed in this area
- Walkers can enter door 2 on the west side, or door 5 on the east side depending on where they come from, they use the same doors at the end of the day
- Families dropping students off should follow the traffic pattern counter clockwise around the south parking lot. Students get out of the vehicle where the staff is located and walk to door 5 to enter
- Families wanting to walk students to the door, must park in a parking spot and walk to door 2- please do not block traffic
- Families will need to say goodbye at the school door. For safety reasons we will not have families accompanying students to the classrooms. All visitors must enter door 1 with a valid ID. We have staff inside to help all students find their rooms
- Families picking up students will park in the south lot- do not block traffic, and enter through the gym door on the right side when opened by staff.
