Joyfully Embracing Our Mission
We, the St. Clare School Community, joyfully embrace the Gospel mission entrusted by Christ to His Church.
Believing that everyone is made in the image and likeness of God, we cherish and celebrate our diverse backgrounds and cultures.
Dear St. Clare School Families,
Whew! What a busy week and we haven't even begun...
Thank you to all of you for your participation and support through Lexi's "PRINCIPAL FOR A DAY". The students thoroughly enjoyed the Volleyball challenge, especially with the littlest ones cheering on their teachers. What great fun! Lexi got to make the "Fire Drill" announcement and observed everyone do a very nice job getting out of the building. She wrote emails and got responses from the Superintendent and Asst. Superintendent and supervised detention for two of her classmates. Thank you to her parents for supporting the Annual Benefit with this auction item. Well done!
What a wonderful start to the month of May to see so many family members join us for our May Crowning. The Honor Guard and Coronation Court represented us well. The prayer service is a great reminder of our devotion to Mary as the first disciple. She continues to intercede for us and her example is our guide in our journey to become loyal and faithful servant leaders.
Many thanks to our crew of ambassadors who organized the flowers for us. We have a great student body!
Next week brings even more excitement. Please see the "dress code" for next week's Spirit Week. See the photo of the Student Council for some examples of how to dress for next week.
TEACHER APPRECIATION WEEK
Thank you to Michele Cuni and team for organizing the week of activities related to Teacher Appreciation Week. Our teachers are very special and they deserve the accolades. They especially like handwritten notes of appreciation and they are grateful that they are being honored with a donation to their favorite charity. We are blessed!
VOLUNTEER APPRECIATION EVENING | Tuesday, May 7 | 5-7:30 P.M. in the Hall
A grateful Faculty and Staff would like to show you how much we appreciate you! Your service to the school makes our work lighter. We hope you can join us and share food we will prepare for you. It’s our turn to show our gratitude. Please RSVP to let us know you will be attending.
At this evening’s event, you will hear about our vision for the 2019-2020 school year and also hear from the Santa Clara Police Department about how we partner for the safety of our students and our campus.

We look forward to seeing many of you there!

Gospel Reflection May 5, 2019 — Third Sunday of Easter
We continue to rejoice in the Easter season, and these readings remind us to recognize and appreciate the gifts that God provides us. We appreciate the new life that is sprouting from the earth and thriving thanks to the abundant goodness of God. Despite whatever difficulties that we are currently faced with in our lives, we must not forget to recognize and appreciate the many abilities, tools, companions, and leaders that God has given us. Sometimes it is in times of hardship that our strength is recognized, our resolve is renewed, and our eyes are made clear so that we can appreciate our own abilities and acknowledge the people in our lives that support us. The reading today reminds us of the daunting task that loomed over the Apostles following the death of Christ. Similarly, we are called to action with the faith and knowledge that God’s love provides. With the words of the Gospel, we are meant to be inspired, reinvigorated, and rededicated to the purposes that our lives have brought before us.

Uniform Exchange
Consider visiting the very full uniform racks located in the main school building. There are a lot of shorts, pants, shirts, sweatshirts and jackets for the taking! As we are in the midst of spring cleaning, also consider donating the uniforms you have that may not fit your child/children any longer.
Uniform Donation Guidelines:
- Only school uniform approved clothing must have school logo
- All uniform pieces must be clean/washed
- No rips, holes, stains, broken zippers, extreme fading
As we take pride in the St. Clare School uniform, please ensure your uniform donations reflect that pride. If they do not, please consider donating those uniform items to a local charity of your choice.
