PK3.1 Weekly Newsletter
February 5th 2016- Week 21/ Spirit Week
Hello Pk Parents,
SPIRIT WEEK was a great success! I was so happy to see everyone participating in this school wide event and excited/proud faces arriving every morning! I want to give a big shout out to all of YOU for helping and creating such wonderful outfits to share with us. THANK YOU!! We did our best to continue learning about buildings this week but with so many exciting events we didn't cover all the material I hoped we would. We did have a few good conversations this week about some familiar buildings here in panama along with other buildings around the world. We searched for doors, windows, walls, floors, roofs, hardware and different materials on each of the photos. I shared the other photos of the houses you sent in with the class. We talked about the elevator, stairs and balconies. We discussed paint and the different colors of our building and houses are. During our GMD this week we practiced kicking a ball without using our hands. At garden we used recycled bottles to water our produce and played with our outdoor centers. On Thursday we celebrated Cecilia's birthday, her parents brought in some delicious treats and stickers to share with the class! On Friday we had our last day of spirit week (Fun in the sun day) the kids joined us in their favorite summer outfits and and accessories. Unfortunately due to an unfortunate emergency, I had to miss out on all the fun. Your kids were happily in the hand of Ms. Giselle and Ms. Sharon for our last day before break. Starting at 8am the class played in 3 small pools in the green area. After they were done playing in the pools, the kids used the recycled water to water the plants in our garden! Judging by the smiling faces in all the photos, I’m sure you can agree they had a wonderful last day and week. When we return, we’ll continue talking about buildings. If your child sees a building or you visit a new house/building, please send in a picture to share with the class!
Have a wonderful break, see you all February 15th!
