How you finish....
A LOT can happen in 41 school days (yes, 41!), including significant growth in academic, behavior or social areas. It's still our time to THRIVE! PLEASE help us by keeping your child's attendance regular as well as your normal routines as much as possible. Let's instill that school is not "OVER" yet. We will do our part to have a very fun, safe, and rigorous 41 days, but we need your help!
Thank you for your support and please reach out with any questions. As my Mee-Maw would say - "It's not just how you start, but how you finish!"

What is AVID? - Advancement Via Individual Determination
The AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) framework is an educational program that is designed to help students, develop the skills they need to be successful in college and careers. Students in Grades 6-12 have been engaged in the AVID work in our district for several years now.
The framework focuses on teaching skills such as organization, time management, note-taking, and critical thinking. The goal is to help students develop a growth mindset and the ability to overcome challenges and obstacles, while also building a sense of community and support.
More information can be found here: What AVID Is / College & Career Readiness - Explore AVID Students by Grade Level
