Dress Code Policy
As the temperature increases, so do our dress code violations. Thank you for helping to reiterate our dress code requirements with your child/ren. Here are a few of the common issues we continue to address:
- Clothing must cover the body from the chest to below the buttocks. This includes all private and intimate parts of the body.
- All tops must cover the stomach, back, chest, and torso. Shirts that expose the shoulders must have a strap or fabric that goes over both shoulders and adheres to the other provisions of this dress code.
- Pants/bottoms with rips, tears, or mesh are acceptable but shall not reveal or expose a private/intimate part of the body nor cause a safety concern (e.g., a tripping hazard because the hem of the pant leg drags on the floor).
- No clothing or accessories may depict prejudice, hatred, alcohol, drugs, tobacco, pornography, or profanity, or denote gang involvement, violence, or illegal activities.
30-Day Parent Challenge
This 30-Day Parent Challenge provides you an opportunity to reconnect with your child(ren) in a small, meaningful ways. Research shows that the more engaged adults are in children's lives, the less likely they will become involved with substances (nicotine, alcohol, drugs etc). Some of the activities will take 30 seconds to complete, others may take a few hours. These do not have to be done in order as they are simply suggestions. West Ada has the most amazing families. It is my hope that we continue to be partners to keep our children safe and healthy. This sheet can be downloaded, printed and hung on the refrigerator as a daily reminder. Have a wonderful summer. A message from our Registrar
- All parents must update PowerSchool information each year.
- Please make sure your information is correct.
-
In addition, all 8th grade parents must also send their current proof of address, such as a utility bill, to the registrar at hess.traci@westada.org.
The high schools will require that these items be done before the end of the school year in order to receive their HS schedules for next year.
Please check the lost and found for any missing jackets or water bottles. All left over items will be donated at the end of the school year.

You rock, Mrs. Mason and Mrs. Shoemaker!
Planning for the ISATs takes a lot of organization and teamwork. Mrs. Mason and Mrs. Shoemaker took the lead and made sure everything ran as smoothly as possible. Thier hard work, training and support had a huge impact on our overall testing schedule.
You rock, Mrs. Hansen!
As you walk through our hallways, you can almost always see examples of artwork from Mrs. Hansen's students. She is continually finding ways to highlight the amazing work that comes from her art classes! We also appreciate her efforts as our head track coach.
