Cultural Region
Definition: An area in which groups of people share the same culture and languages
Sentence: The country is split Into many different cultural regions.
Functional Region
Definition: A functional region is a place that depends on the core city for the major issues. They still do require support from the external smaller cities but get most of their assistance from some of the larger most thriving cities.
Sentence: This part of the country is a Functional Region.
Perceptual Region
Definition: The definition of perceptual region is the way a person views the region. They usually have such beliefs as 'rednecks in Midwest' or 'rich people in Manhattan'.
Sentence: I see this Perceptual region, New York, as a place for stuck up rich people.
Language
Definition: a body of words and the systems for their use common to a people who are of the same community or nation, the same geographical area, or the same cultural tradition
Sentence: There are very many different languages used in America.
Religion
Definiton: a specific fundamental set of beliefs and practices generally agreed upon by a number of persons or sects.
Sentence: Christianity is a very well known religion.
Government
Definition: the system by which a state or community is governed
Sentence: The government in the United States is a Democracy
Education
Definition: the process of receiving or giving systematic instruction, especially at a school or university.
Sentence: Education is very important in finding jobs later in life in America.
Customs
Definition: the official department that administers and collects the duties levied by a government on imported goods.
Sentence: No refund will be given for any goods impounded by customs or local agents.
