HAPPY FRIDAY, INDEED!
As the year goes on, it is amazing how fast the school days blur by! I am happy to report that we have had minimal behavior issues over the past month and mask issues have been pretty much non-existent. Our health/safety protocols have been working better than we had hoped for.
As we move forward in our current format, it is important to note that students have five days of learning each week. The only thing that changes, is the format in which they are learning; online classes, on-site learning, remote learning. One concern that has come up is that on-site students are not completing their required assignments/activities on the days in which they are not on-site. This causes issues when they return as the teacher is not able to progress as planned with the next unit/lesson/activity since they must cover what was missed.
With students on a shortened school day and alternating days for on-site attendance, this can really impede the student growth we are hoping for this year. Please stress the importance of completing their activities/assignments on the days they are not on-site.
As a reminder, Monday, September 21st is a full remote learning day for all students. Their respective class schedules for their online classes are posted below.
Have a great weekend :)

This week I wanted to share some of the benefits of counseling:
-Counseling teaches children how to effectively manage emotional distress and anxiety on their own.
-Children learn how to deal with anxiety in healthier ways.
-Children have a safe place to talk about their thoughts and feelings. It helps them to share any worries or problems they may have.
- Counseling can help children to build their confidence and self-esteem.
How do I know if I should look into counseling for my child?
If your child seems unusually anxious, sad, or irritable for a long period of time and it’s interfering with his or her ability to do things that are appropriate for kids his or her age, it’s a good idea to seek help.

Kindergarten News!!!
On Tuesday and Wednesday, kindergarten will review another color! We will be singing songs and learning how to spell the color word! We would like the children to come to school “painted” in BLUE that day! Students can wear that color shirt, shorts, socks or pants; the girls could even put that color ribbon in their hair!
