In addition, plain black or brown dress-style belts MUST be worn by students in grades 2-8, and shirts are required to be tucked into skirts/skorts, shorts, and pants.

IB PYP News
Primary Years Programme: Arts
The arts is a powerful mode of communication through which students explore and construct a sense of self and develop an understanding of the world around them. Arts provide students with a wide range of opportunities and means to respond to their experiences and engage with historical, social and cultural perspectives. Learning about and through arts is fundamental to the development of the whole child, promoting creativity, critical thinking, problem-solving skills and social interactions (IBO.org).
At Franklin Academy Boynton Beach we are proud to offer a robust education in the arts. The curriculum is organized into two strands for each of the four identified areas of the IB arts: creating and responding. Arts is woven throughout the units of inquiry and as a stand-alone special for Kindergarten through PYP 5.
Our talented artists showcased their skills at our annual holiday concert in December. This presentation encompassed singing, dancing and instrumental performances.
