Principal Message
Pine Lane Crew,
We have had a great week! On Monday, we celebrated the Month of the Military Child coming together and wearing purple. Wednesday, we had McTeacher Night at the Crown Crest McDonalds and had a fantastic time together. There was such a great turnout which brought in almost $700. A huge thank you to PLEA for coordinating and our staff for coming out after work. Our students were so excited to see their teachers. Tonight, our Band, Choir, and Orchestra is also performing their Spring Concert. This will take place at 6 pm in our North Gym. I am very excited to see the culmination of all their hard work. From here the year just speeds up even more. Next week we are excited for our Annual Discovery Carnival. We also have lots of field trips coming in the weeks’ ahead.
Today our 2nd through 6th grade students are wrapping up Colorado Measures of Academic Success (CMAS). I am so proud of the effort!!! I have seen in our students and the mindset they have shown toward this annual assessment. From my perspective, we find great value in the information we get from this assessment as it norms our performance with the state, gives us information on all of our subgroups, and specific information about each child’s abilities and growth. Also, know that this is not the only measure we use to track our students' academic achievement and growth. I am very excited to see the results of our Crew’s work as well as what they produce through the end of the year.
Next week is After School Professionals Appreciation Week!!! We have an incredible Crew that runs our Before and After School Enrichment program. A big thanks to Jamie Venegas and her team! If you are a family that taps into their services as a resource I would encourage you to send them a note of appreciation next week. We are so grateful for the example of service they are to our Crew!
Lastly, I would like to remind you to complete two forms for our 2024-25 Planning Purposes.
2024-25 Intent to Return & Parent Input Form - Tomorrow is the last day to provide input for any class placement purposes.
2023-24 Feedback Survey - We currently have 80 entries and would like closer to 200 to better represent all of our families.
Thank you for your help with this information. We do find it highly valuable and use this data to guide our efforts and advocate at the District Level for our needs.
Have a wonderful weekend! We are Pine Lane! We are Crew!
