We will be having a student meeting to talk about the trip details and Safety in the City on May 7th. Over the next week, students will be watching three documentaries to prepare them for the trip.

Bus Transportation forms for 2024-25 school year
Action is required for ALL families to complete this form (one for each child) by the May 1st deadline even if you do not require bus transportation.
FORM LINK: Transportation Form Link
POLICY: UPDATED TRANSPORTATION POLICY - APPROVED 3-15-23
PROCEDURE: TRANSPORTATION PROCEDURE
Please read all instructions contained in this form carefully. Once submitted, you will receive an email receipt that we have received your form.
After the May 1st deadline, we will extract the necessary data from the completed/submitted forms and provide that data to the bus company so that they can begin to develop the bus routes around the known ridership. We must provide the bus company data this early because staff at the bus company have limited availability in the summer months.
This timeline is designed to provide families and school administrators with arrival and dismissal information for planning purposes in order to reduce some of the stress that oftentimes accompanies back-to-school.
It is important to note, as per policy, any students whose forms are submitted after the deadline may not be placed on a bus for up to 60 business days; the only exceptions are for (1) students newly enrolled in Lunenburg Schools after the deadline, or (2) newly arising/emergency situations.
Games/Chess Club
Middle school chess club will meet Thursday's from 2:30 - 3:30 in Mrs. Clarke's room.
Learn to play or just find friends to play with! …tournaments, games, prizes and more! Email or talk to Mrs. Clarke if you have any questions
A gentle reminder about students staying after school
We encourage students to stay after school to participate in an extracurricular activities or receive extra help from their teacher. Students who are not supervised by an adult or participating in activities SHOULD NOT be in the building after school. We will be requiring students to leave the building after school who are not in an activity that is supervised by an adult.

LMHS LIBRARY DIGITAL RESOURCES
The library offers many digital resources such as research databases, ebooks, audiobooks, citation creation and digital notecard/research organization tools. Links to these can be found on the library website: https://sites.google.com/lunenburgschools.net/lmhs-library-media-center. The databases are grouped by subject areas to make navigating the many resources easier. Databases work automatically within the school building, but passwords are needed for home access. The database passwords are accessible from any database page on the library website - look for the blue banner at the top of each database page. As long as a student is logged into their school Google account, clicking that link will open the list of usernames and passwords for all of the databases offered through the library.
Mrs. Vallee is available in the library and by email at pvallee@lunenburgschools.net for any student needing help finding a book, researching a topic, using the databases, or creating citations.
OVERDUE LIBRARY BOOKS
Reminder to all students - overdue notices are sent to your school email every Tuesday morning. If you need to keep the book longer for a project, just reply to the email that you’d like to have it renewed. We do not charge overdue fines, but books do need to be returned as part of senior obligations and if leaving the district/applying to Monty Tech. Don't forget you can log into your Destiny accounts any time to see which books you have checked out and when they are due.
Click the Library Media Center link on the LHS or LMS website
Choose Destiny Discover from the side navigation
Click login in the upper right corner. Your user name is the beginning of your Google account (2027MaryB) and your password is the same as your Google account (such as meb127999).
Check your lockers, cars, houses and classrooms for those books. Please get those overdue books in ASAP so that others can enjoy them too!!!
You can return books to the library or place them on the Return Cart outside the front office. See Mrs. Vallee in the library or email her at pvallee@lunenburgschools.net if you have any questions or need help renewing books. Thank you!!
Chromebook insurance
K-12 Tech has offered an extension to signing up for insurance for your Chromebook. You have until October 13th to purchase the insurance. This will be the last opportunity for this year. Unfortunately, this insurance will not cover any damage incurred prior to the purchase date. It is highly recommended that all families purchase this insurance so they are not left with repair costs.
