Principal's Message
As October comes to a close I wanted to take a moment to thank our PTO. This month saw our PTO run our virtual book fair and sponsor a dinner during parent-teacher conferences. They continue to sponsor a monthly dinner night out that not only helps our PTO, but also supports local businesses. Also don't forget to check out their website: https://mvelementarypto.wixsite.com/mvpto and like them on Facebook.
Paws Up!

Veterans Day Observance
On Wednesday, November 11th, Meadow View will observe Veterans Day. One way we are honoring our veterans is with a video collaboration with all five Oconomowoc elementary schools. As part of the observance, MDV students are invited to decorate and bring in a star in honor of a veteran or someone currently serving. Please have the stars at school on Thursday, November 5 and dress in red/white/blue. Please know not all students will be a part of the video, but all will be able to share about their special veteran on November 11th. You may use the star below, or trace it onto cardboard or colored paper. Please write the name(s) of the person(s) being honored on the star(s), along with any other information you may wish to include. If attaching a picture please use a copy, as we would not want to lose precious family photos. On Veterans day students will have the opportunity to share about their special person in class, view the video that was made, discuss veterans day, and dress in red, white, and blue.
A star information sheet will be sent home with your child or you can click here to print one:
4K Fall Fun! Five Little Pumpkins
2nd Grade Kindness Posters
Our second graders worked hard in their first Social Studies Unit learning about being unique and accepting differences. We had many discussions around how our actions can impact others and that is why we need to treat others with kindness. We learned how important it is to share this message with others, so we made Kindness Posters and hung them in our neighborhood windows facing the playground.

New Illness Updates
We strongly encourage you to monitor your child's health continually. It's important to be mindful of any illness symptoms that your child may have before sending them to school. Please keep you child home if they are ill.
If you need information on how to contact your school attendance line, please visit the Absence Reporting Information page on our website.
If you need help understanding when your child should return to school, please visit the Absence Reporting Information page or the "OASD Health Services Information" drop-down on the OASD Learning Hub page.
Both pages have detailed illness guidelines and a video from OASD Health Services Director, Mrs. Deal.
