Our Watkins staff is amazing!
Want to "shout out" a staff member? We want to hear about it!
Do you know our mission statement?
Try asking your student(s)?
"Watkins Wildcats are safe, respectful, and focused on learning everyday."
During the month of September, we will discuss what it means to be "respectful".
What is respect? By definition, respect means to demonstrate “high regard” for or special attention to something or someone.
If you demonstrate high regard for someone/something, you admire that person/thing. Wow! That’s not just being nice or kind. It’s going a step further and ADMIRING, PAYING SPECIAL ATTENTION TO, RESPECTING….
Who can you hold in “high regard”? Who can you show great respect to/for?
Welcome back to school Wildcats. Just a few reminders from your School Nurse:
If your child needs to take medication at school, please have only an ADULT bring those medications to the nurse’s office before I may administer. If those medications are in ½ dose’s please have them cut prior to bringing them to the nurse or she cannot accept them.
You should have received a Student Health Inventory this year from your child’s teacher sent home to be filled out. Please fill that out, all information is very important in the care of your child here at school. All information is kept confidential. Please return those forms as soon as possible.
Please remember: If your student is sent home with COVID-19 like symptoms: your student may return when:
· Resolution of fever without the use of fever-reducing medications for at least 24 hours and
· Improvement of symptoms without use of medication to control symptoms, and
· Written documentation of differential diagnosis (allergies, ear infection, strep, contact dermatitis, etc.) from MD/DO/NP including a statement from the provider regarding not recommending COVID-19 testing.
Thank you.
