Ms. Burdick's 3rd Grade News
May 9, 2016
This will be the last newsletter!
Thank you!
This has truly been an incredible year with your kiddos and I can't thank you enough for your support! I have loved getting to spend each day learning, exploring, growing, and laughing with your child. I am so sad to see them go but I know they're going to do great things in this world and I'm beyond lucky to have gotten the chance to be a part of their lives for a short time. Thank you again!
Outdoor Celebration
These are the parents that I have signed up to volunteer on 5/24! If you would like to and don't see your name or can't volunteer anymore, please let me know as soon as possible. Thank you for volunteering!!

Last Book Report-Poetry
use books & on-line resources
DUE MAY 20
Read several poems from on-line resources and books by many different authors. Some favorite children authors are Shel Silverstein & Jack Prelutsky. Then:
Pick one poem that is at least 8 lines long.
Memorize the poem.
Make a collage/multimedia poster that includes rhyming words and pictures about the poem.
Present your poem and poster on May 20. Costumes and props will enhance your presentation. Treat it like a skit, act it out, and have fun entertaining us with your poem.
Lunch Accounts
As of today, May 9th, per Jeffco policies, students with a negative lunch account can not order lunches.
Library Books
Are due by Friday, May 13th!
Last Day of School
The last day of school is a HALF DAY on Wednesday, May 25th. I will try to send supplies home, bit by bit, so they're not weighed down on the last day. If you would like to donate any used crayons, scissors, markers, etc. to the classroom, we'd love to have them for a class supply!
