January
Scheduling for 20-21 School Year
Students will use the month of January to explore the Academic and Career Planning Guide(ACPG) to identify the courses they want to take next year. During prides on January 6th and 13th, 9-11th grade students will be doing course exploration lessons using the ACPG. On January 27th during pride students will be given the course request sheets which are to be returned in pride on February 3rd. They will be expected to enter their final course requests into Skyward between Monday, January 27, and Monday, February 3. From there, schedules will be computer generated and reviewed by counselors throughout the spring and summer. We anticipate that final schedules will be posted in early August.

Need help choosing courses for next year?
Counselors will be available at Raccoon Study Hours during the month of January to answer questions regarding courses or the course request process.
As a reminder Raccoon Study Hours are Mondays and Wednesdays 7:00-8:30 at East Campus.
Senior Seminars
On January 13th, all seniors will receive information regarding Jostens cap and gown orders during pride.
We are excited for the opportunity to offer help to seniors during this exciting time!
OHS Program Information Night
We offer several programs to support students in their identified post-high school pathways. This support includes intensive college preparation and apprenticeship opportunities. Families are invited to learn more about these programs at our first-ever Program Information Night. Information sessions on the following programs will be offered at both 6:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. in the following locations.
At these information sessions, you will learn more about which courses align with your goals and how the programs support your career pathways. Presenters will include administrators, teachers, recent alumni, students, and parents to help answer your questions. If you cannot make the session, please feel free to contact the individuals listed above for a one-on-one meeting.
Workforce, Apprenticeship, and Work-place Learning Opportunities

Students and families across all grade levels who are interested in programs designed to help students prepare for careers in the trades, nursing, or seeking youth apprenticeship opportunities are invited to meet with Mrs. Stefan.

International Baccalaureate (IB) Career Programme

Current sophomores who have identified a desire to focus their post-high school studies in Biomedical Sciences, Engineering, Business, Finance or Computer Science should attend this session to learn more about the IB Career Programme, which infuses the development of personal and professional skills with innovative and hands-on content-based courses.

Advancement through Individual Determination (AVID): Sophomore College Prep

Current freshmen who have identified a desire to attend a 4-year college are invited to learn more about the AVID program. The program focuses on building strong academic habits that infuse reading, writing, inquiry, collaboration, and organization skills across each of their classes as they prepare for the college exploration process.

CURRENT 8TH GRADE FAMILIES AND STUDENTS ARE INVITED TO THE OHS RACCOON READY FRESHMAN INFORMATION NIGHT. The evening is designed for parents and students to start their journey as Oconomowoc High School Raccoons. The night will include:
- One-on-one course advising and support
- Additional assistance if you're new to the OASD
- Opportunity to learn about athletics and clubs

Wisconsin Test Prep also has a Winter test prep course starting on January 27th. Information including registration can be found by accessing www.WisconsinTestPrep.com.
