A Note From Mrs. Donnell
We are down to our final 3 weeks of the 2018-2019 school year. We have completed nearly all of our state required testing this week (ILEARN) with a few absentee tests to make up next week. It was a rough week for everyone and we know that each of your students gave us their best effort and we are grateful for that. ILEARN was a newly developed state assessment that has replaced the ISTEP+ for grades 3 - 8. Our entire staff went out of their way to try and calm the students and encourage them to give us their best. I do have to say that we are so grateful that it is finished for this school year.
The PTF sponsored Creative Crusader event was a huge success and we are thankful for everyone who put in so much time and effort. We hope this will become an annual event that continues to highlight the talents of our students.
God’s grace and mercy toward each of us as we wind down this school year is such a blessing. Things in the office are getting crazy and the teachers are working diligently to make sure that each student leaves on summer break with a good academic foundation and an ever growing love for Christ.
Next week is National Teacher Appreciation Week and I would like to take the time to thank each staff member at CCS. Their undeniable dedication to Christ and your children is overwhelming. Their constant prayers over CCS and its families are always welcomed and appreciated. God is doing amazing things and Satan is always at work trying to stop Him.
Blessings,
Mrs. Donnell
