April 12th
Note from our Principal Julie
Spring has arrived! What does that mean for schools? Lots of activities, state testing, spring fever and preparation for the upcoming school year. Please check our calendar of events below for a variety of ways to connect and support our school this spring. We would love to see you at our Miller Mile/Family Engagement event next Tuesday. In the next 6 weeks we will take field trips, celebrate milestones, and say goodbye to staff and students who are off to new adventures. Your child's teacher will share the events impacting your child. If you need more information or have questions, please contact your child's teacher.
Are you interested in the Family and Community Engagement? We have many upcoming activities and ways to support our school.
Are you interested in helping us plan for community engagement? Fletcher Miller is attending a 3 day planning session in June. We would love for a parent or family member to join us. Please contact me at 3030-982-7200 or julie.osborne@jeffco.k12.co.us for more information.
Are you interested in volunteering for upcoming school events like prom and graduation? Give us a call and we will get you connected!
We are looking for family members to be part of a focus group to provide insights about Fletcher Miller School and Jeffco Special Education. The time commitment is about 1 hour and will be held either virtually or in-person. The timing of the focus group is flexible and we want it to be least disruptive for families. If you are interested, reach out to me at julie.osborne@jeffco.k12.co.us or call the office to throw your hat in the ring.
Take Care,
Julie

Middle School
Middle school is working on Egypt, bones and mummies. They took a field trip to Denver Museum of Nature and Science to check out the amazing exhibit. The exhibits reveal new storylines for the two ancient women, highlighted by an interactive touch table that digitally unwraps the mummies and allows you to focus on key features. You will also see an exhibit about animal mummies, including a baby crocodile mummy once presumed to be empty.
Solar Eclipse
A few of our staff were able to take advantage of their lunch break and bond during the Solar Eclipse. It is great when we are able to take these small moments and make them memorable.
