Lower School Weekly Announcements
September 28- October 2
Lower School Volleyball Night - commUNITY Event
We had a wonderful turnout and an absolute BALL for our second commUNITY event of the school year where we cheered our varsity volleyball team onto a victory in only 3 sets. Between the second and third sets, the Lower School students were given the opportunity to participate in a serving contest where they won Papa Johns pizzas for serving the ball over the net and hitting the pizza boxes as the targets. Here are a few pictures from the evening.
Our next commUNITY event is the 5K and Fall Festival to be held on Saturday, October 10 beginning at 10:00 A.M. at NCS.
Attendance
This is just a reminder that our school day BEGINS at 8:00 A.M. Students should be seated in their desks ready to begin pledges/prayer and morning announcements promptly by 8:00. Please note that the teachers are standing at their classroom doors beginning at 7:50 to greet the students and to allow them time to get their materials ready to begin the day directly following the morning announcements.
Chapel - October 1
On Thursday, October 1, Mrs. Nix will be joining us for chapel as she introduces our student body to the next Name of God, Jehovah Tsidkenu – the Lord is our Righteousness. Additionally, we will be celebrating our October birthdays.
Early Dismissal - October 2
On Friday, October 2, the Lower School students ONLY will have an early dismissal at 11:30 A.M. to provide some time for Parent/Teacher conferences to take place. The teachers will be individually scheduling these as they seed the need. If you feel as though you would like to have a conference, please directly email your child’s teacher to arrange a meeting.
After Care
After Care will be provided until 5:30 P.M. with Mrs. Latour.
Lunch
Students attending After Care will need to bring lunch from home as the cafeteria will not be open on this day.
Carpool
PLEASE be sure that whomever is picking up your child in carpool has a car tag in the window or on the visor. We absolutely love seeing our grandparents assisting working parents; however, we can expedite carline with this simple step.

Open House - October 8
We all know of families that wonder if their child is getting enough at their current school. Each of us has been there at one time or another. Please consider inviting a friend to attend our next Open House for Prospective Families on Thursday, October 8 at 9:00 A.M. in the Media Center. Principals from each school will be available to tour families, provide information, and answer questions that will equip them to make the best decision for their child.
