PROM TICKETS are on sale at the school bank for $40 from April 2-12, then $50 April 15-19, No Tickets will be sold the day of prom or at the door on April 20.
Non-LVA Student PROM Dance Guest Forms may be picked up in the Character & Compliance Office. Forms are due by 2:30 pm on Wednesday, April 17. Non-LVA Guests will not be allowed to enter the dance without a completed pre-approved form.
ODD Monday - April 8
- No Lunch & Learn. Students must remain in the Quad or Cafeteria. Lower campus including practice rooms, conservatory classrooms, and theaters are closed.
- College Visit - ASVAB Representative - 10:00 am [Register through Naviance or in the counseling office]
EVEN Day - Tuesday - April 9
- Lunch & Learn in English, 10:00 to 10:30 am

- Musical Theater Four Production Alice by Heart - Black Box Theater 6:00 to 7:30 pm

- Senior Fun Friday! - Class of 2024, wear your Crowns and/or Senior shirts! Grab your senior buddies and head to the front of the school during lunch for a friends' "selfie" photo. There will be fun class of 2024 items to use as part of the picture. Enter to win one of two autograph frames.
- Musical Theater Four Production - Alice by Heart - Black Box Theater 7:00 to 8:30 pm - To ensure a seamless experience for all guests, please arrive at least 15 minutes before the scheduled start time. Seating will require crossing the Alice By Heart stage, so early arrival is essential to minimize disruptions once the performance begins.
Saturday - April 13
- Musical Theater Four Production - Alice by Heart - Black Box Theater at 2:00 to 3:30 pm and 7:00 to 8:30 pm - To ensure a seamless experience for all guests, please arrive at least 15 minutes before the scheduled start time. ACCOLADES
LVA Alumni Now with Cirque Du Soleil Provide Dance Audition Experience
LVA Dance Conservatory sends a big thank you to Cirque Du Soleil’s Artistic Casting Advisor Jawkeen Howard and Cirque Artists Mary Antoinetta (Beatles Love) and Yadiel “Jedi” Reyes (MJ ONE) for an amazing audition experience with our students. We are so grateful for the opportunity to engage the LVA dance department in world-class professional and educational training. Fun fact: Jawkeen Howard, Mary Antoinetta, and Yadiel Reyes are all Alumni of Las Vegas Academy of the Arts! We are so proud of the wonderful work being cultivated by former academy students. Bravo to all.
Senior Fun Friday - Hula Hooping!
Seniors brought varied levels of Hula Hoop skills to the quad on Friday. Seniors entered a drawing for Autograph items and picked up snacks and senior swag. Hula Hoopers had fun and received extra drawing tickets. Throughout lunch students in all grades had fun with the Hula Hoops!
LVA Staff Development Day 4.1.24
The LVA Staff Development Day was filled with collaborative learning sessions on Project Based Learning and planning, Collaborative Strategies, and new technology! The staff started the day with new building update and celebrations. For lunch the staff enjoyed a chili-cook off and the Peeps Scenes Contest winner was announced!
Liz Bash, Social Studies Instructor took 3rd place in the Chili Cook-Off. She presented the Stuffed Peep first-place prize to Eva Williams, Student Council Advisor for her student-selected movie-themed Peep creation.

UPDATED - Class of 2024 Essential Information
Watch for Special All-Inclusive Class of 2024 Email to Seniors April 2.
Seniors and their parents/guardians recieved a special senior email message on April 2 with all the information needed to prepare for the end of the year and graduation. This special message includes the Senior Journal with detailed information on the MANDATORY rehearsal, senior check out at LVA, and graduation day at the Orleans Arena. Senior information is also available at Class of 2024 at lasvegasacademy.net.
New Class of 2024 Information
- Sunday, April 8 - Updated Calendar of Events in the Senior Update Message! New items are below and marked with **NEW in the Senior Update Message.
- Reminder LVA Graduation Participation Agreement in the Senior Update must be completed by the graduating senior or early graduating juniors. Parents/guardians should review and discuss this information with their student[s], but they cannot submit this agreement.
- Friday, April 12 - Virtual Parent Graduation Meeting, 5:30 to 6:30 pm with Mr. Josh Hager, AP Activities Office, join the virtual meeting at https://meet.google.com/tfe-zeam-pbz
- Thursday, April 26 - Mandatory Grad Nite Meeting, 10:00 am in M-15 for any seniors going to Grad Nite. Please mark your calendars for this important meeting.

Informational Meeting to Join BCC Board
Black Culture Club is in the process of selecting its board for next year! If you are interested in joining the board, please attend the BCC meeting Tuesday in M-15 during the second half of lunch. Students can scan the QR Code on the Instagram page or the Canvas page to fill out the interest form.

All CCSD AP students are invited to attend the 2024 AP Student Boot Camps! Virtual sessions will be offered in April 2024. Students can select up to four AP review sessions to attend. The boot camps are free. Registration is required.

Dance Instructor performs in new production!
Dance Conservatory Instructor Avree Walker performs in FOLLIES. This is the Las Vegas premiere of Stephen Sondheim's FOLLIES, playing at Aliante Casino Hotel and Spa from April 11-14. The show is massive, including 45 amazing performers, a 30-piece orchestra, and 12 Legendary Las Vegas Showgirls.

Vegas Thrill, Vegas’ new professional women’s volleyball team, wants to give the CCSD family another exclusive offer to the next home match on Monday, April 8 at Lee’s Family Forum in Henderson!
