Seesaw and Poetry Integration
Seesaw & Poetry
Seesaw has plenty of pre-built activities revolving around poetry that help to scaffold students' writing.
Magnetic Poetry: View this search to see activities that provide students the words, and have them create their own renditions of a poem. Then, let students view each other's work to see the many variations that can be made with the same set of words to choose from!
The following K-2 Seesaw Activities have been built using Schoolwide resources). If you're interested in learning how to build activities like these that use Schoolwide texts/resources, stay tuned for the summer program coming soon!
- Kindergarten Act It Out! (Schoolwide Activity)
- Kindergarten Stop and Sketch (Schoolwide Activity)
- 1st Grade Words that POP! (Schoolwide Activity)
- 1st Grade Venn Diagram (Schoolwide: One Big Rain Text)
- 2nd Grade Poetry Fluency Practice - Under the Sea (Schoolwide Text)
- 2nd Grade Poetry Fluency Practice - Rocking Chair (Schoolwide Text)
Coming in May...
In late May you will receive all the information you will need to close out your Seesaw class for the 2018-2019 school year so that you can start the 2019-2020 school year on a fresh note.
Summer Learning Program 2019
While the summer is a great opportunity for teachers to recharge for the next school year, it is also a chance to further develop and refine your instructional strategies. On May 10, teachers will receive the Summer Learning Program that will be a full package of session offerings from instructional technology and curriculum supervisors who have been working in tandem for effective integration.
