IT'S FAFSA/ORSAA TIME!
These are the Free Application for Federal Student Aid and Oregon's version of the federal form.
If you are a US Citizen, you will complete the FAFSA. If your status is different, you should take the short questionnaire at the following link to see which to complete, the FAFSA or the ORSAA.
Either way, completing these applications is the first way to pay for your continued education. There are free grant funds available to some of you and loans available, too. If you are planning to attend a 2-year college or a 4-year college, this is a MUST do!
If you are planning to go into a trade, it is still a good idea to complete the FAFSA/ORSAA, because many of those trade jobs need you to complete courses and training at a community college before you can be certified. This is a way to get those classes paid for with grants or loans.
To complete the FAFSA, you must create a FSA ID# for you (the student) and also for a parent. Go here to do this:
Your next step is to do the FAFSA at:
The FAFSA will need:
- Social Security Numbers
- Full legal names
- Birth dates
- 2019 Tax information
The ORSAA will need:
- Full legal names
- Birth dates
- 2019 Tax information
If you need help navigating these forms, please reach out to Patty Neuenschwander at the following email:
