Shopkick
One of my favorite apps is shopkick...it gives points (kicks) and eventual prizes for entering stores. It is a great reward for going to all those shops I do not necessarily enjoy with my wife. ;)

Skymap
Skymap – lets you point your device at an area in the night (or even day) sky and see exactly what your are looking at. It shows stars, planets, galaxies, moon phases, etc. (Doesn’t work on iPod touch because it does not have a compass).
Soundhound
Soundhound- This app listens to music and tells you what song is playing, the artist, album, and other related information -- even a link to buy the song.
Solar System Scope
Solar System Scope – This app costs $1.99 on the iPhone or iPad, but is free on your computer. It is a 3D simulation that shows the motion of the planets and objects in the solar system and night sky in motion, in their proper place, with the date/time correlation. You can see the placement for the current date and time, or set it for any date and time you want. There are many other features as well. I just put this on my iPad and have had some trouble with it loading, but when it does, it is amazing. I am trusting they will work the minor bugs out over time.
