The Way of the Wolf
LMS Weekly Newsletter: March 25 - March 29
Dear LMS Families:
Friday, we had our 3rd PBIS Reward day. The students signed up for an activity and visited the snack table. They had a great time socializing with their friends and enjoying time to relax and play games, listen to music, or watch a movie. Thank you, parents, for sending in donations and helping with the events.
Also this week, the students had a March Madness competition where they competed in teams to review for their upcoming Milestones test. The winning teams are shown below. Great job to everyone who participated.
For the next five days before Spring Break, we want our students to work hard and give it their all. We have planned some great lessons and look forward to a GREAT week! The rest of the information below is a repeat from last week. If you have not done so, please take the survey and donate to Meals on Wheels.
Very Important: You have homework, parents!
For the 2024/2025 school year, we are a newly named Title I school. This means that we will receive some extra funding that can help ALL students at our school. Our school received Title I status because we have at least 40% of our student population receiving free and reduced lunches. The reason for the increase and our ability to receive these funds is that they changed how they determine free and reduced lunch status to automatically include any students that have health insurance from Medicaid. Our student body has not changed, but because the way they count the free and reduced lunches changed, we will now be able to accept the extra funding. If you have any further questions, please feel free to call or meet with me. Also, here is a link for more information as well: Title I Funding
NOW FOR YOUR HOMEWORK: VERY IMPORTANT: I NEED AS MANY PARENTS AS POSSIBLE TO FILL OUT THE SURVEY. We are working on a Title I Plan and your input is vital to ensure that it meets the needs of our students! Please fill this out right away - our initial plan is due at the end of this month.

As part of our mission, WE SERVE! We are raising funds for Meals on Wheels in Coweta. This organization provides meals for those in need who are senior citizens or disabled at no cost. We want to raise the most out of all the other schools! Our goal is to raise $5000.00 and to make it fun and rewarding for our students. We have a few fun things planned: PJ day and Lunch with Friends - see details below on how to participate!

2024 Coins For Cupcake (Meals on Wheels) Challenge Fundraiser
First, we want to thank each of you in advance for participating in this worthwhile challenge. It is astounding to know just how many seniors and disabled citizens in our community would go hungry on a daily basis without Meals on Wheels. In 2023 we, (LMS), were able to raise $5000.00 which provided over 1100 meals for the county. WE WOULD LIKE TO MATCH THAT!
Lost and Found
If your student has possibly lost or left anything behind, please come by the Media Center and pick it up. We have LOTS of items just waiting on their owners to come by and find them.
Click HERE for the link to sign your child up for a school lunch account. You will need your child's lunch number and their student number from Infinite Campus to create an account.
Alternative Meals (cheese sandwich) will be offered to students with outstanding charges. Please check emails for letters from the cafeteria informing if your student owes or call the Cafe Manager Melissa Eady @ 678-423-6993 between 6am-2pm to check balances.
