Happy Assistant Principals Week!
Cypress Creek Middle School stands out as one of Pasco County's top schools due to the leadership of these three amazing women: Mrs. Roberts, Mrs. Nieves, and Mrs. Moline! Their unwavering commitment, hard work, and countless hours of time have enabled our students the ability to enjoy the pillars of success, and achieve the milestones set on each student's journey throughout his or her middle school career! They are truly role models to the students that they serve, and leaders to to the teachers and staff that they guide day in and day out.

Monday's Solar Eclipse
Dear Parents and Guardians,
We are about to experience one of nature's most awe-inspiring spectacles—a solar eclipse! As the moon passes between the Earth and the sun, we will experience a partial eclipse with 60-65% totality during the afternoon hours. This rare event will occur next Monday, April 8th, and we have provided important safety guidance to our schools so they are prepared.
Eclipse Timing and Safety: The partial eclipse in the Tampa Bay area will begin at approximately 1:45 PM and last until 4:00 PM, with the peak occurring around 3:00 PM. Please note that this timing coincides with many of our schools' dismissal times.
Some of our teachers and schools may be providing special lessons and events related to the eclipse, and you can find out more by contacting your child's school. Additionally, Pasco County Schools is excited to share some essential tips to ensure that everyone can enjoy this event safely and responsibly.
Safety First: Protect Your Eyes
The most crucial aspect of watching a solar eclipse is protecting your eyes. Directly viewing the sun without proper protection can cause serious eye damage. Here's how to watch safely:
- Use ISO-certified solar viewing glasses: These special glasses are designed to protect your eyes from harmful solar radiation. Regular sunglasses, even very dark ones, are not safe for looking at the sun.
- Watch through a pinhole projector: This simple device can project an image of the sun onto a surface. You can easily make one using household items. Instructions are widely available online.
- Avoid looking at the sun without protection: Even during the eclipse, looking at the sun without proper eyewear can lead to permanent eye damage.
The solar eclipse presents a fantastic learning opportunity for students of all ages. While your student is learning about science at school every day, this is a great opportunity for parents and students to discuss the solar eclipse together.
Let's all look forward to experiencing the solar eclipse together, safely and with an eagerness to learn more about this unique event!

2024 - 2025 7th Grade Tdaps
ATTENTION PARENTS OF CURRENT 6TH GRADERS - (7th graders for 2024-2025 school year)
One of the requirements for all 7th graders to attend school is to have the Tdap immunization. Please take your child to your physician or local Health Department for the necessary immunization.
Return the required certificate of immunization (DOH680 form) to the school so we can document it in our records. Submit the documentation as soon as possible to avoid missed class time at the beginning of the 2024-2025 school year.
Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter. Please contact our School Nurse Rheanna Caselius at rcaseliu@pasco.k12.fl.us if you have any questions.
