Tuskegee Airmen Event August 24-25
Erie International Airport
When: Saturday August 24th 10AM-6PM and Sunday August 25th: 10AM to 4PM
Witness History Come to Life
The UECDC along with the Erie International Airport/Tom Ridge Field have partnered to bring the CAF Red Tail Squadron Rise Above traveling exhibit to Erie, PA. This exciting exhibit brings the legacy of the first African-American pilots and their crewman to life and inspires youth and adults alike to overcome adversity and rise above difficult challenges.
Visitors will get a chance to see a rare P-51 C Mustang, the same model that was flown by the Tuskegee Airmen over Europe during WWII. The Rise Above exhibit features a panoramic movie screen housed inside a semi-rig and presents an informative movie about the Tuskeegee Airmen's accomplishments.
